Laurence Goode
Engineering and business leadership SME
Laurence s outside work interests include running, hi fi, music and helping local youth groups.
Martin Denly
Controls and instrumentation SME
Martin has a wide knowledge of controls and instrumentation across many process industries including fine chemical, oil & gas and pharmaceutical, with a particular interest in hazardous areasand safety systems.
When not at the desk he can be found sailing or walking the south west coast.
Martin Coleman
Process and pressure systems SME
Martin is a process engineer with 30 years experience working in the pharmaceutical and other process industries, in both design and manufacturing support roles. He has particular experience of pressure relief systems, process risk assessments and pharma chemical plant operations. He has worked with Energy and Carbon Reduction Solutions since 2018.
When not at work he enjoys long distance running and playing trumpet or euphonium with a local wind band.
Des Belford
Electrical SME
Des is an Incorporated Electrical Engineer & Chartered Manager specialising in High Voltage (HV), Critical Power, Data Centre, and Utilities & Facilities Management. He is a High Voltage / Complex Low Voltage Authorising Engineer to 33kV and Authorised SAP to 33kV.
His extensive knowledge of HV, HV Networks, CHP, Utilities, Electrical & Mechanical Infrastructure has been gained from many major installations across the UK. He uses his experience to help companies define and develop strategic & capital frameworks for current & future site development.
He is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute with a strong background in Asset Management and has excellent engineering governance & compliance Leadership experience having been a UK Responsible Engineer for many years at large scale complex biopharmaceutical sites & mission critical financial facilities including major UK Banking Data Centres.
Outside work, Des enjoys spending time with his family and walking/cycling Coastal paths.
Martina Antalova
HVAC SME
Martina joined Energy and Carbon with a lot of experience in pharmaceutical facilities design gained working on range of aseptic, life sciences and bioprocessing manufacturing for vaccine development. In recognition of her being a role model in the industry she was Awarded a centenary award for Outstanding Woman in Engineering by the Women s Engineering Society.
In her free time she volunteers for STEM and loves to spend time outdoors; running and hiking with her young family
Nigel Lenegan
Clean room and HVAC SME
In 2009 he founded Energy & carbon reduction solutions to provide energy optimisation and CO2 reduction advice to the life Science, university and pharmaceutical sectors. Since then he has become a recognised global Subject matter expert in GMP pharmaceutical facilities and energy use. He co founded the ISPE Sustainable Facilities CoP and is the current global chair. He has co written numerous technical papers and co authored a number of books on pharma energy.
When not working he enjoys watching his daughter play football and, when it’s not raining, riding his motorbike.
Pete Madden
HVAC and pressure systems SME
Pete recently joined the team at Energy and Carbon Reduction Solutions having spent his career to date working on a wide range of Pharma projects in the UK and abroad.
Outside work Pete enjoys trying to keep fit with gym and road cycling sessions and recovering with a pint of real ale or two
Martin Wheeler
HVAC and LEV SME
Martin has been working for Energy and Carbon Reduction Solutions since 2013 helping clients to get their facilities working efficiently and well. He has worked in many areas of life science research and manufacturing and has particular experience of laboratory environments and systems.
When not at work he enjoys hiking, kayaking and managing a local Scout Active Support group.
Phil Woolrich
Project management and energy saving SME
He also has project management, validation, change management and energy management experience. His hobbies include gardening and walking in the Peak District.
